From Afar

From Afar is a biography documentary series. Using conversation, monologue, and flashbacks to unfold the stories of five female Chinese immigrants.

Each episode focuses on one woman and their unique family backgrounds, educational and immigration experiences, sharing their passions and bravery to achieve their life goals.

The episodes highlighted the mythical and cultural of oriental women, and how they harmony the customs of opened minded for western culture and the conservative for Chinese culture.

The woman in every episode is an epitome of a female immigrant,  they are businesswoman, scientist, doctor, lawyer, artists, nurse, chief, etc. 

The Chinese version of "The Red Gate" has been registered on the Shanghai Century Publishing Group.
